Everyone has at least one person in his or her life that seems to have everything. Maybe it is your father-in-law or it could be your friend who has traveled the world already and has bought himself or herself what ever they wanted along the way. With the holidays in the not too distant future, I thought it would be good to start exploring some gift ideas for these individuals.
Here are some ideas that I came up with:
1 – Wine Gift Baskets. A perfect gift idea as it is really about enjoying yourself. Who does not like good wine and some treats to accompany it? Check on-line to see the various different offerings. You will be surprised to see how many different variations there are and what price points exist. Chocolate and gourmet gift baskets seems to be very popular. Look for baskets that provide more premium or artisan products. You don’t want to send wine gift baskets that have been sitting in a warehouse for months wrapped in cellophane.
2 – Some type of class. Could be photography, sailing, cooking, or whatever. Classes are great as it gets someone out and doing something. It also provides an opportunity to meet new friends and develop one’s own skills. Before you just choose any random class, think about the person’s current hobbies or interests. Make sure to be a class time that is suitable to the person you are buying for.
3 – Dinner out. Often those who seem to have everything really aren’t interested in getting another object. So how about giving them a night out on the town with you. It doesn’t have to be at a fancy restaurant, but be thoughtful and figure out what they like. Even better, take them somewhere they have not been before so it is more of an adventure for them.
